Salted Egg and Shrimp Fried Rice
You can’t go wrong with this magic combination of two favourite ingredients of Filipinos.
The humble fried rice just got even tastier. Serve up a simply prepared yet delightful dish packed with protein goodness and all-round yumminess.

Ingredients
Rice
- 500g day-old cooked white rice
- 10g Knorr Rostip Chicken Seasoning Powder
- 30ml oil
Chicken & shrimp
- 60g chicken thigh fillet
- 60g shrimp or diced ham, or both
- 10g finely diced ginger
- 80 finely diced white onions
- 15ml oil
Salted egg
- 35g Knorr Golden Salted Egg Powder
- 35g Dairy Crème margarine
- 15ml oil
- 2g curry leaves or coriander leaves
- 2g thinly sliced green or red chillies
Garnish
- 10g finely chopped spring onions
Preparation
Rice
- Mix the rice with Knorr Rostip Chicken Seasoning Powder until well-combined
- Add the oil to a hot wok
- Stir-fry the seasoned rice until heated through
- Transfer the cooked rice back to its bowl and set aside
Chicken and shrimp
- Heat the oil in a wok
- Sweat the ginger and onions in the wok
- Add the chicken and shrimp
- Stir-fry until cooked through
- Transfer into the same bowl as the rice
Salted egg
- Add the margarine and oil in a wok over medium heat
- Add the curry leaves and stir-fry until fragrant
- Add the sliced chillies
- Stir in the Knorr Golden Salted Egg Powder until thoroughly mixed through
- Add the rice with the cooked protein into the wok
- Toss everything together until the rice is fully-coated with the egg powder
- Taste and adjust with seasoning
Assembly
- Garnish with spring onions and serve
